MyRentable Community Standards
These Community Standards explain the behavior, safety, honesty, communication, and marketplace-integrity requirements that apply to every MyRentable user.

Quick summary

1. Purpose and Scope
These Community Standards establish the conduct expected from every person who accesses or uses MyRentable, LLC, including Owners, Renters, visitors, authorized representatives, and people communicating through the marketplace.
The Standards apply to Listings, Bookings, messages, reviews, photographs, identity verification, payments, pickup and return interactions, damage claims, reports, support requests, and other conduct connected to MyRentable.
These Standards supplement the Terms of Service and Marketplace Policies. When requirements overlap, users must comply with all applicable provisions.
2. Core Community Expectations
Every MyRentable user is expected to:
- Act honestly and provide accurate information.
- Treat other users, workers, service providers, and members of the public respectfully.
- Follow applicable laws, regulations, licenses, permits, and safety requirements.
- Protect rented property and the personal information of others.
- Communicate promptly and professionally.
- Honor confirmed commitments and payment obligations.
- Report serious safety issues, fraud, theft, or prohibited conduct.
- Cooperate reasonably with support, claim, refund, and investigation procedures.
3. Respectful Conduct
Users must communicate and interact without harassment, humiliation, intimidation, retaliation, or abuse.
- Do not threaten, stalk, bully, shame, or intimidate another person.
- Do not repeatedly contact someone after being asked to stop, except for necessary transaction or legal communications.
- Do not use profanity, insults, degrading remarks, or aggressive behavior to pressure another user.
- Do not publish another person's private information without authorization.
- Do not retaliate against a person for submitting a report, claim, review, complaint, or appeal.
- Do not use reviews, reports, payments, deposits, or property possession as leverage for an improper demand.
Disagreement about a Booking, charge, return, condition, or claim does not excuse abusive conduct.
4. Nondiscrimination
MyRentable does not permit unlawful discrimination or exclusion based on protected characteristics.
- Race, color, ethnicity, or national origin.
- Religion or creed.
- Sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
- Age, where protected by law.
- Disability, medical condition, or use of an assistance device.
- Marital or familial status.
- Military or veteran status.
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Users may apply lawful, objective, property-related requirements when reasonably necessary for safety, licensing, insurance, age restrictions, equipment qualifications, or permitted use.
Requirements must be applied consistently and may not be used as a pretext for unlawful discrimination.
5. Honesty and Accurate Information
Users must provide truthful, complete, and current information throughout their marketplace activity.
- Do not use a false identity or impersonate another person or business.
- Do not submit altered, stolen, forged, or misleading identification documents.
- Do not misrepresent ownership, authority, licenses, qualifications, property condition, availability, or location.
- Do not conceal known defects, hazards, prior damage, missing parts, recalls, or operating limitations.
- Do not submit fabricated messages, photographs, receipts, invoices, estimates, police reports, or other evidence.
- Do not create misleading duplicate Accounts, Listings, reviews, Bookings, or reports.
6. Listing Integrity
Owners must create Listings that accurately represent the property being offered.
- Use photographs of the actual property unless clearly identified otherwise.
- Describe material defects, wear, damage, missing components, and limitations.
- State the correct price, Deposit, included accessories, Rental Period, and pickup or delivery terms.
- Keep availability reasonably current.
- Use the appropriate category and do not manipulate keywords or search results.
- Do not list prohibited, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unlawfully possessed, or unsafe property.
- Do not advertise one item and substitute a materially different item without the Renter's agreement.
MyRentable may remove, restrict, or require correction of a Listing that is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, misleading, incomplete, or inconsistent with platform policies.
7. Owner Safety Responsibilities
Owners must take reasonable steps to provide property that is safe, functional, clean, maintained, and suitable for the disclosed rental purpose.
- Inspect property before each rental when reasonably necessary.
- Address known safety defects before transferring possession.
- Provide operating instructions, warnings, manuals, and required protective equipment.
- Confirm that required guards, safety devices, accessories, and controls are present and functional.
- Disclose special skill, age, licensing, insurance, transportation, or supervision requirements.
- Do not knowingly provide property subject to an unresolved safety recall or dangerous defect.
- Document the property's condition before and after the rental.
An Owner should cancel or pause a Booking when the property cannot be provided safely or as described.
8. Renter Safety Responsibilities
Renters must use property carefully, lawfully, and only for its disclosed and intended purpose.
- Inspect the property before use and report material safety concerns promptly.
- Follow Owner instructions, manufacturer guidance, warnings, and applicable law.
- Do not operate property while impaired by alcohol, drugs, fatigue, or another unsafe condition.
- Do not allow an unauthorized, unqualified, unlicensed, underage, or impaired person to use the property.
- Use required protective equipment and safety devices.
- Do not disable guards, alarms, limiters, locks, tracking devices, or safety features.
- Stop using property when a malfunction, unusual condition, or safety hazard becomes apparent.
- Protect the property from theft, weather, misuse, contamination, and avoidable damage.
9. Pickup, Delivery, and Return Conduct
Owners and Renters must behave safely and professionally during pickup, delivery, inspection, and return.
- Arrive at the agreed time or communicate promptly about a delay.
- Use a safe and lawful location for transfer of possession.
- Confirm the identity of the appropriate transaction party when reasonably necessary.
- Document the property's condition, included items, fuel, charge level, mileage, hours, or other relevant measurements.
- Do not enter private property beyond the area reasonably authorized for the transaction.
- Do not bring unauthorized people into a private location when prohibited or unsafe.
- Do not use threats, physical force, or self-help recovery methods that could create danger.
Users should contact law enforcement or emergency services when immediate danger, theft, violence, or another emergency exists.
10. Care of Rented Property
Renters must take reasonable care of property from the time possession is received until it is returned or otherwise lawfully transferred.
- Do not sell, pledge, subrent, loan, abandon, or dispose of rented property.
- Do not alter, dismantle, repaint, reprogram, repair, or modify property without authorization.
- Do not remove serial numbers, labels, safety markings, tracking devices, or ownership identifiers.
- Do not use property beyond disclosed weight, capacity, speed, environmental, geographic, or operating limits.
- Do not use property for racing, illegal activity, unauthorized commercial activity, or another prohibited purpose.
- Return every included accessory, key, charger, attachment, battery, manual, and component.
Ordinary wear and tear may occur during proper use. Negligence, misuse, unauthorized alteration, missing property, excessive cleaning, theft, and avoidable damage are not ordinary wear and tear.
11. Payment Integrity
Users must use MyRentable payment systems honestly and may not manipulate payments, refunds, deposits, claims, payouts, or chargebacks.
- Do not use stolen or unauthorized payment information.
- Do not submit a false chargeback or payment dispute to avoid a valid obligation.
- Do not request payment outside MyRentable to avoid Service Fees or transaction records.
- Do not create false Bookings, refunds, claims, or payout activity.
- Do not use MyRentable for money transmission, cash advances, laundering, or unrelated financial transfers.
- Do not pressure another user to provide cash, gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or another unsupported payment method.
12. Off-Platform Transactions and Circumvention
Users who connect through MyRentable may not move a transaction outside the platform to avoid Service Fees, payment protections, documentation, support, safety systems, or policy enforcement.
- Do not request or provide off-platform payment for a MyRentable-originated rental.
- Do not cancel a Booking for the purpose of completing the same transaction privately.
- Do not use messages to advertise a lower off-platform price.
- Do not direct users to another payment service, marketplace, or private booking method to avoid MyRentable requirements.
MyRentable may consider the context, timing, history, and intent of communications when reviewing suspected circumvention.
13. Fraud, Theft, and Deception
Fraudulent, deceptive, and theft-related activity is prohibited.
- Using false identities, stolen Accounts, or fraudulent payment methods.
- Renting property with the intent not to return it.
- Listing property that is stolen, counterfeit, encumbered, or not lawfully controlled.
- Falsifying ownership, condition, value, damage, repair costs, or transaction history.
- Coordinating fake Bookings, reviews, claims, referrals, promotions, or payouts.
- Attempting to obtain a refund, Deposit, payout, or reimbursement through false information.
- Using phishing, malware, impersonation, or social engineering to obtain information or property.
MyRentable may preserve records, restrict payments, suspend Accounts, and cooperate with payment providers or authorities when fraud or theft is reasonably suspected.
14. Violence, Threats, and Dangerous Conduct
MyRentable prohibits violence, credible threats, intimidation, and conduct that creates a serious risk of harm.
- Threatening physical injury, property damage, stalking, or retaliation.
- Brandishing or using a weapon to intimidate another person.
- Attempting dangerous self-help recovery of rented property.
- Deliberately damaging property or creating a dangerous condition.
- Encouraging another person to commit violence or serious unlawful conduct.
- Using the platform to identify, target, or locate a person for harmful purposes.
15. Harassment, Extortion, and Coercion
Users may not use payments, property, messages, claims, reviews, or personal information to coerce another person.
- Demanding money or benefits through threats.
- Threatening a false report, review, chargeback, or claim.
- Threatening to publish private photographs, messages, addresses, identification, or financial information.
- Conditioning the return of property on an unauthorized payment.
- Pressuring a person to withdraw a legitimate report or claim.
- Repeated unwanted sexual, romantic, or personal communications.
16. Sexual Misconduct and Exploitation
Sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, nonconsensual conduct, and sexually abusive behavior are prohibited.
- Unwanted sexual messages, comments, images, or advances.
- Requesting sexual activity in exchange for a rental, refund, discount, review, or other benefit.
- Sharing intimate or sexual content without consent.
- Secretly recording a person in a private setting.
- Using the platform to facilitate sexual exploitation, trafficking, or abuse.
17. Privacy and Personal Information
Users must handle personal and transaction information responsibly.
- Use another user's information only for legitimate marketplace purposes.
- Do not sell, publish, scrape, harvest, or misuse personal information.
- Do not share identification documents, payment details, private addresses, access codes, or messages without authorization.
- Do not photograph, record, or monitor private areas without lawful notice and consent.
- Protect personal information obtained during pickup, delivery, claims, support, or verification.
Information may be shared with MyRentable, insurers, payment providers, law enforcement, or other appropriate parties when necessary to report an incident, resolve a claim, protect safety, or comply with law.
18. Messaging Standards
Messaging should be limited to legitimate marketplace, transaction, safety, support, and dispute-related purposes.
- Do not send spam, advertisements, chain messages, or unrelated solicitations.
- Do not send malicious links, files, scripts, or requests for passwords.
- Do not impersonate MyRentable, a payment provider, an Owner, a Renter, or another person.
- Do not request sensitive financial or identity information outside an authorized workflow.
- Do not send repeated unwanted messages after a matter has concluded.
- Do not manipulate message history or submit incomplete communications in a misleading way.
19. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews should help the community evaluate genuine marketplace experiences.
- Reviews must be based on an actual relevant interaction.
- Reviews should focus on the Listing, transaction, communication, condition, conduct, or performance.
- Do not submit fake, coordinated, duplicate, or self-authored reviews.
- Do not exchange discounts, refunds, payments, or benefits for a specific rating.
- Do not threaten a negative review to obtain an improper benefit.
- Do not include unrelated personal attacks, discriminatory remarks, private information, or knowingly false statements.
MyRentable may remove or restrict reviews that violate these Standards, even when the underlying transaction occurred.
20. Claims, Reports, and Evidence
Users must submit truthful and relevant information when reporting damage, misconduct, fraud, safety concerns, or policy violations.
- Do not alter timestamps, photographs, messages, documents, receipts, estimates, or other evidence.
- Do not exaggerate the condition, value, repair cost, loss, or severity of an event.
- Do not omit material information with the intent to mislead.
- Do not coordinate false statements or evidence with another person.
- Do not submit a report solely to retaliate, intimidate, delay payment, or harm another user.
- Preserve relevant property and evidence while a legitimate claim is under review.
Good-faith reports will not violate these Standards merely because the available evidence does not ultimately support the report.
21. Prohibited and Restricted Items
Users may not list, request, rent, or use MyRentable to facilitate prohibited property or services.
Categories may be prohibited because they are unlawful, unsafe, heavily regulated, age restricted, subject to licensing, commonly used for abuse, or incompatible with marketplace risk controls.

22. Intellectual Property
Users must respect copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, publicity rights, and other intellectual-property rights.
- Do not use photographs, descriptions, logos, or content without permission.
- Do not list counterfeit goods or property bearing unauthorized marks.
- Do not falsely claim affiliation, sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.
- Do not remove ownership notices or rights-management information.
- Do not submit knowingly false intellectual-property complaints.
23. Platform and System Abuse
Users may not interfere with the security, operation, availability, or integrity of MyRentable.
- Attempting unauthorized access to Accounts, databases, systems, or administrative features.
- Introducing malware, malicious code, harmful files, or automated attacks.
- Scraping, crawling, harvesting, or copying platform information without authorization.
- Avoiding rate limits, authentication requirements, access controls, or security protections.
- Testing vulnerabilities without written authorization.
- Manipulating prices, availability, search results, trust indicators, reviews, notifications, or transaction status.
- Using bots or automation in a way that harms the platform or other users.
24. Cooperation with MyRentable
Users must cooperate reasonably with legitimate safety, support, payment, refund, identity, claim, and policy reviews.
- Respond within a reasonable time to material requests for information.
- Provide truthful and complete documentation.
- Preserve relevant property, messages, photographs, and records.
- Do not interfere with another person's ability to provide evidence.
- Follow temporary safety, payment, return, or Account restrictions while a matter is reviewed.
Failure to cooperate may affect a claim, refund, payout, appeal, Booking, Listing, or Account decision.
25. Reporting Violations
Users should report serious or repeated violations through available platform reporting tools or by contacting MyRentable support.
A useful report should identify:
- The affected Account, Listing, Booking, message, review, or transaction.
- What occurred and when it occurred.
- Why the conduct may violate a policy or create a safety concern.
- Relevant photographs, messages, documents, receipts, or other evidence.
- Whether law enforcement, emergency services, an insurer, or another authority was contacted.
MyRentable may be unable to disclose all investigation details, evidence, enforcement methods, or actions taken concerning another user.
26. Enforcement Actions
MyRentable may take action reasonably proportionate to the severity, credibility, frequency, context, and risk of a violation.
- Educational notice or warning.
- Request for correction, documentation, or removal of Content.
- Listing restriction, removal, or deactivation.
- Cancellation or restriction of a Booking.
- Message, review, payment, payout, claim, or feature restriction.
- Temporary Account suspension.
- Permanent Account termination.
- Preservation or disclosure of information as permitted by law.
- Referral to a payment provider, insurer, law-enforcement agency, regulator, or other appropriate authority.
MyRentable may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary to protect safety, prevent fraud, secure the platform, preserve evidence, comply with law, or limit immediate harm.
27. Factors Considered During Review
MyRentable may consider the following factors when reviewing conduct:
- The seriousness and nature of the alleged conduct.
- The credibility, relevance, and completeness of available evidence.
- Whether the conduct was intentional, reckless, negligent, or accidental.
- Actual or potential harm to people, property, payments, or marketplace integrity.
- Prior warnings, reports, claims, cancellations, or policy violations.
- Cooperation, honesty, corrective action, and responsibility taken by the user.
- Applicable law, contractual obligations, and service-provider requirements.
- The need to prevent repeat harm or protect an ongoing investigation.
28. Temporary Protective Measures
A temporary restriction is not necessarily a final finding of wrongdoing.
MyRentable may temporarily restrict an Account, Listing, payment, payout, Booking, claim, message, or other feature while reviewing:
- Credible safety threats.
- Suspected fraud or identity misuse.
- Stolen property or payment information.
- Serious damage or theft claims.
- Chargebacks, reversals, or payment risk.
- Legal process or regulatory requests.
- Repeated or coordinated abuse.
29. Appeals
A user may request review of an eligible enforcement decision by contacting MyRentable and providing relevant information.
An appeal should explain why the decision may be incorrect and include new, corrected, or previously unavailable evidence.
Submitting repeated appeals without new information, falsifying evidence, harassing support personnel, or attempting to evade a decision through another Account may result in additional restrictions.
MyRentable may uphold, modify, or reverse an eligible decision after review.
30. Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance
MyRentable may preserve and disclose information in response to valid legal process, applicable law, qualifying emergency requests, or other lawful obligations.
MyRentable may report suspected criminal conduct, threats, theft, fraud, exploitation, or other serious safety matters to appropriate authorities.
Users must not misuse law enforcement, legal threats, or government reporting systems to harass, intimidate, or retaliate against another person.
31. Changes to These Standards
MyRentable may update these Community Standards as the marketplace, laws, safety practices, technology, and platform features evolve.
The current version, effective date, and last-updated date will be displayed in the Legal Center.
Material updates may be communicated through the platform, email, or another reasonable notice method.
